Screening, identification, and selection of abiotic stress-tolerant crop cultivars for varietal development and crop improvement. Various physiological, biochemical and molecular techniques are used for the selection of tolerant variety.

 

Bioenergy - Generation and selection of reduced antenna size Chlamydomon asreinhardtii mutants with improved photosynthetic performance for enhanced biomass and biohydrogen production.Physiological, biochemical and molecular methods are used for the characterization of mutants.

 

Plant Medicine - We are also working on the bioprospecting of medicinal plants. Phytochemical profiling and identification of bioactive compounds from medicinally important plants. Plant-mediated nanoparticle synthesis and its applications like antimicrobial and anticancer activity for treating cancer and infectious diseases.
