YVU – CCE , YOGI VEMANA UNIVERSITY – CENTRE FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS is a brain child of our former VICE – CHANCELLOR Prof. M. SURYA KALAVATHI Madam and former REGISTRAR PROF .D. VIJAYA RAGHAV PRASAD SIR.
This Centre is born out of fervent desire to change YOGI VEMANA UNIVERSITY from merely being an institution that imparts knowledge to an institution that can make its pupils future ready and employable.
The centre acts as a bridge between the university and the competitive world by creating awareness among the students in the basics of government based competitive examinations like Civil services examinations conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) , SSC (Staff selection Commission) and GROUP I & II conducted by APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission).
Apart from creating awareness among the students on topic of competitive examinations, the cell also plays an important role to create a conducive environment for students to realize their dreams by providing them with requisite coaching and study materials.

In an online enrollment program was conducted by YVU-CCE in cooperation with university’s CDC (College Development Council) a strength of 250 students enrolled from various affiliated colleges of YOGI VEMANA University.
An all rounder course designed by integrating elements from Civil service examination conducted by UPSC and Group I & II examination syllabus which is run at the centre on daily basis to raise awareness among the students about the scheme, syllabus and components of a basic government competitive examination.

I am indebted to the faculty of the University, who inculcated scientific temper and research aptitude and I think YVU is a happening place for qualitative research.
