I am honoured to serve as Vice-Chancellor of Yogi Vemana University (YVU), Kadapa, inspired by the legendary poet and social reformer Yogi Vemana. My vision is for the university to lead in academic excellence, research, and community engagement.

We focus on boosting student employability through targeted skills training, customized career guidance, and Outcome-Based Education. We drive research in health, sustainability, and technology to address societal challenges. We also strive for top NIRF and NAAC rankings through the implementation of academic quality initiatives. Our mission requires the commitment of faculty, students, alumni, staff, and industry partners. To elevate Yogi Vemana University to national prominence, we will enhance academic standards, strengthen research capabilities, establish industry partnerships, expand student programs, and promote regional development through alumni and CSR engagement, all with a focus on research-driven innovation.

Our campus boasts a strong academic and physical infrastructure, featuring the Agri-Science Park, Digital Central Library, Botanical Garden, Career Guidance Cell, RUSA Instrumentation Facility, Greenhouse, Glasshouse, Sculpture Studio, Vermicompost facility, gym, sports complexes, hostels, and a health centre. By fully using these facilities, we turn learning into discovery and drive innovation.

Yogi Vemana University is a relatively young institution in higher education. We will build on this to become a national leader. We nurture creativity, encourage interdisciplinary work, and expand knowledge. We conduct Faculty, Management, and Skill Development Programmes for teachers, professionals, students, youth, and local communities. We are modernizing laboratories and classrooms. We are establishing state-of-the-art libraries and computer centres. These upgrades foster creativity and collaboration. We celebrate our achievements and acknowledge our challenges. With perseverance and adaptability, YVU has become stronger and more resilient. We reaffirm our commitment to innovation, excellence, and inclusivity. This will ensure YVU continues to contribute to society and the global academic community.

I urge students to seize every opportunity, develop their skills, and become compassionate contributors, upholding Yogi Vemana University’s values. Faculty, staff, and alumni must work together to achieve excellence. Together, we will create a legacy of hope, innovation, and human values.
