The Yogi Vemana University has established a Women cell in the campus according to the UGC letter dated October 2011 (D.O.No.F.7-1/2009 (WS).
1. Establishment of Solar fencing on compound surrounding womens Hostel and providing round the clock security.
2. Pasting of printout of Telephone No's of Principal/HOD's/Registrar/Police, in ladies hostel.
3. Complaint Boxes kept at various places to lodge complaints.
4. Interaction with women faculty and students by Principal.
The Women cell organized a health camp for women of Yellattur village where free medical checkup and testing was carried out. Medicines and fruits were distributed to the women. The women cell celebrates March 8th every year by inviting prominent ladies from different spheres of life. This year we had following prominent women as our guests of honour.

4. Dr. S. Sama Sudha, (MD, DGO), Gynecologist, Balaji clinic, Kadapa.
Women Safety Fortnight Programme Organized on 10th December, 2011 with a Theme of “Women’s Rights are Human Rights and Women Development is Human Development” at Y.V.University Premises.

I am indebted to the faculty of the University, who inculcated scientific temper and research aptitude and I think YVU is a happening place for qualitative research.
The academic ambience and infrastructure of the University are the hallmarks, I consider myself to be lucky to be here and I foresee a bright future in pursuit of Science.
Yogi Vemana University is certainly a hub for meaningful research activities. Research in social sciences here bears contemporary relevance and addresses societal problems.
Yogi Vemana University installed faith in me to explore new avenues in liberal arts which mates us more humane and civilized.
