Parasitology: Molecular Systematics of Vertebrate parasites, Histopathology and Ecology, Biodiesel production from fish wastes, Application of nanoparticles against fish pathogens.
The main area of research includes various aspects such as taxonomy, histopathology molecular systematics and ecology of parasites within the fish host inhabiting both freshwater and marine environments. Research surveys were conducted on various groups of parasites such as digeneans, monogeneans, cestodes and copepods of freshwater and marine fishes from various localities of Andhra Pradesh, India to provide host-parasite database. Molecular systematics and ecology of metazoan parasites of elasmobranchs off Nellore Coast, Bay of Bengal was carried out under CSIR project with CSIR grant No. No. 37(1592)/13/EMR-II, dated 09-04-2013 worth Rs.16.3 Lakhs till the FY 2015-2016. Molecular systematics and ecology of metazoan parasites of amphibians of YSR Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh was carried out under RGNF fellowship of PhD student. Micro-ecological studies of ectoparasites of freshwater fishes of River Penna, YSR (Kadapa) District, Andhra Pradesh was carried out under UGC-FDP program of PhD student.
